Air Duct Access Doors

All commercial ventilation systems require the installation of HVAC duct access doors to provide access to HVAC ductwork for maintenance, cleaning, and inspection. HVAC duct access doors are designed for use with heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems and cannot be used to provide access to grease ducts. Our clean air HVAC duct access doors provide efficient, safe and secure access to ductwork.

Why You Need an HVAC Duct Access Door

Constructed of sturdy galvanized steel, air duct access doors from HoodFilters.com offer an economical solution for any application where access to HVAC ductwork is needed. However, if you are looking for an access door for use with grease ducts you will need a grease duct access door that meets or exceeds NFPA 96 fire code requirements. In addition to being required by building code, it is important to be able to access your air ducts to maintain, clean and inspect them.

HVAC access doors make it easy to clean out dust and other debris that can build up over time, which can cause ventilation equipment to run less efficiently or even cause a fire. Other potential problems associated with dirty ductwork are bacteria and mold growth, unwanted pests, and a variety of other health and safety hazards. With the addition of an air duct access door, there is better access to hard to those reach areas. Clean air is more important now more than ever.

Installation of an HVAC duct access door is really simple and requires very few tools. A properly installed HVAC duct access door will provide an air-proof, leak-proof seal that allows convenient access without compromising the safety or efficiency of your ventilation system.

Types of HVAC Duct Access Doors

HoodFilters.com carries a wide selection of access doors for commercial, industrial, institutional and residential applications. We have uninsulated, insulated, and hi-temp duct access doors. Our Ductmate uninsulated round duct access doors are constructed of heavy duty galvanized steel for solid, leak-proof access to your ventilation ductwork. If you need an HVAC duct access door for a negative pressure application, choose an insulated air duct access door.

Or, if you need an access door that is rated above 200 degrees Fahrenheit, choose one of our hi-temp duct access doors. Ductmate insulated air duct access doors are UL classified and constructed with three layers of stamped steel and an encapsulated layer of high-density fiberglass insulation. A closed cell neoprene gasket has a service range of up to 200 degrees Fahrenheit. For temperatures of more than 200 degrees Fahrenheit, you’ll need a hi-temp air duct access door. Ductmate hi-temp duct access doors are constructed with a 16 gauge black iron backing plat and are rated for up to 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit.
