Choosing Filter Type |
|
Baffle Filter:
This unique roll formed baffle is designed to prevent flame from penetrating
through the filter into the duct work. Two layers of equally spaced baffles
create an air flow which
gives unsurpassed performance in efficient grease removal. Baffle Filters should
be used in exhaust hoods where gas, Electric, or steam powered cooking equipment
are present.

Spark Arrester:
Spark Arresting Filters should be used in hood exhaust systems that utilize
solid fuel cooking appliances. Spark Arrester Filters
help to arrest any airborne sparks or embers created in the cooking process
prior to them entering the grease ducts. NFAP 96 defines solid fuel as “any
solid organic, consumable fuel such as briquettes, mesquite, hardwood or
charcoal.”
